Ned here:

Water levels have been near 500 for a few weeks now. Wind has been tough and rain off and on.

What our guests are seeing:

We have some customers that have been hitting the water early in the morning around 6:30 am fishing till 10 am and picking up trout regularly on small olives and spinners in olive, cream, and rusty in sizes 14 through 18.

Other customers are going out around 1:30 pm fishing till 4 or 5 and then back out at 7 and fishing till dark.

Activity has been fairly steady but can be somewhat unpredictable at times. Big sulphurs (invaries) are starting to slow down and in some areas have disappeared and are being replaced by small sulphurs in colors of different shades of yellow and orange. ISO’s are there and BWO’s are always around if you look for them.

Your box:

ISO-size 12 2x & 12
BWO-size 18-20-22
Big Sulphurs (yellow olive, invaries)-size 14-16
Small Sulphurs (pale yellow, yellow, orangey yellow, orage)-size 16-18-20

Dream Catcher Lodge has 9 cabins and 1.2 miles of private fishing shoreline. I’m Ned Murphy, licensed guide, and you might find me behind the counter at Dream Catcher on a few days or out on the water teaching and guiding customers.

We hope you can enjoy a stay with us.
